Korryn and Justin travelled from Harrisburg to get married at Flynn's on the Hill in Philipsburg, NJ in October. A perfect wedding setting on a great fall day in the Poconos. I started shooting at Korryn's parents' house with Korryn and her family. I had my assistant stick with Justin and the guys while they got ready for the wedding.

Korynn and Justin walked down the isle under a perfect blue sky and tied the knot in front of their friends and families. I had an assistant, Melissa, to help me cover all the angles of the ceremony.

After the ceremony we took some photos while the guest chatted during cocktail hour.

Dinner was fantastic and the reception was a blast for all the guests. Great music and some break dancing thrown in the mix...

There are tons of photogenic spots scattered all over the Poconos. While we have great resorts for wedding photography, we also have perfect backdrops for engagement shoots. The Old Mill in Sciota is one of my all time faves. It's historic and scenic and makes a great backdrop for engagement photos.

I met Karyn and Ed (who's wedding I will be photographing at Skytop Lodge early next summer) at the Old Mill in Sciota,Pa. earlier this summer. After a quick chat, we had at it and started shooting. Both Karyn and Ed were up for pretty much anything I asked them to do and I really like the engagement photos we made.

I always try to take advantage of a natural setting to add to the richness and texture of engagement shoots. There are plenty of photo ops for doing just that at the Old Mill.

Once I found out that Ed is a golfer, it was game on! I'm sure he will being playing a round or two at Skytop Lodge before the wedding in May.

Karyn and Ed were a treat to work with that day. They are a terrific couple and I know we will get amazing pictures at their wedding! Here is a link to more of their engagement photos. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=3880814104251&set=t.1395759348&type=3&theater

Laura Martone, Michael Sherman and I set out on the mean streets of Stroudsburg this summer to look for good spots to shoot their engagement pictures. We didn't have to look for long to find some nice backdrops and urban props. I can't wait to photograph their wedding at Stroudsmoor Country Inn on New Years' Eve.

While candid wedding photography is my passion, I also love to do creative engagement sessions. The last photo here was Mike's idea. He gets all the credit for that. Lindsey Austin gets all the credit for the Photoshop work on the marquee. I'm really looking forward to their wedding.

The end of 2011 was simply amazing. Being part of Maggie and Adan's wedding in Puerto Morelos, Mexico was a thrill! The setting, weather, resort, and most of all Maggie and Adan, were all amazing. It was a great trip from the Poconos to Mexico. Please let me know what you think of the photography!
The rehearsal dinner set the stage for a perfect destination wedding. All my pictures here were shot at Ceiba del Mar Spa Resort in the Riviera Maya.

Professional salsa dancers treated everyone to dance lessons. The music and energy were amazing! And thankfully I was shooting pictures and didn't have to dance!

Maggie's make-up artists are from Cancun. They were super-talented and very professional. It was great working alongside them.

The party that followed dinner was legendary. So many memorable moments.....

The next day we had some fun by the pool. When you have great models the pictures just happen naturally!

This blog and these pictures are dedicated to Maggie's father, the late Dan Schlitter. I'm sure he is smiling down on his children, Maggie and Derrick, and was so happy to share time with them in Mexico. You are truly missed...

Fall of 2011 was an exciting end of wedding season. I had weddings on consecutive weekends that could not have been any more different. The first was Halloween weekend in the Poconos. Yvonne and Larry were going to say their vows on Saturday, two days before Halloween. The stage was set for beautiful, autumn backgrounds for our formal pictures on the bridge after the ceremony at Famularo's in Paradise Valley in the Poconos, Pennsylvania.
The day before the wedding, when a winter storm warning was posted, Yvonne stayed optimistic and vowed to go on with the show. And wow did it snow...
Yvonne and Larry held their heads high and pledged not to let the snow derail the day they had worked so hard to plan.
We did the formal pictures inside as snow fell and the wind howled outside. We sneaked out for a few minutes for a picture in the snow.
I especially like this image where Larry is holding Yvonne's bouquet as they walk in the snow.
It was Halloween, after all! Yvonne's father was in the spirit.
