Lisa and Bruno's engagement shoot at Shawnee Inn
A gourmet picnic plus a fantastic couple equals a really cool engagement shoot on the banks of the Delaware River at Shawnee Inn in the Poconos. Lisa and Bruno were great to work with and I can't wait for their wedding next summer. Scroll down to see the picnic pix. Diana and Joe's 'Lion King' themed wedding

Shawnee Inn and a perfect summer day for Jamie and Stephen's wedding!
With their families and friends surrounding them and the Delaware River behind them, Jamie and Stephen tied the knot at Shawnee Inn in the Pocono Mountains on Friday. It was a hot summer day and the wedding was perfect. Before we walked down to the river for the ceremony, we did the 'reveal' pictures on the steps of the inn.

This was Stephen, just before the wedding, making a last minute escape attempt (Jamie, it was a joke, of course).
The Delaware River frames every outdoor wedding at Shawnee Inn. It's one of my favorite places to photograph weddings in the Poconos.
The highlight of Jamie and Stephen's wedding was when Jessica (Jamie's best friend) surprised her by showing up at the wedding. Jessica was just ba after serving in Afghanistan as a military police officer. She flew into Newark just two hours before the wedding and drove to Shawnee. Jessica was stunned and thrilled!

Hot summer wedding at Bear Creek Mountain Resort
Gwen and Daniel tied the knot under the warm summer sun at Bear Creek Mountain Resort near Macungie, Pennsylvania. Gwen and her girlfriends got ready for her big day in a suite at the hotel. I stopped in to shoot some finishing touches pictures before we walked down to the ceremony site.

Gwen and Daniel decided to do 'first look' pictures before the wedding. Dan was stunned when he saw Gwen for the first time in her wedding dress.
With ski slopes, filled with mountain bikers, as the backdrop, the said their vows in front of 150 of their closest friends and families.
After the wedding and while the guests were enjoying a drink, we went back outside to do a few photographs at the alter. This is my fav!
The cocktail party, dinner and reception were all amazing and the staff at Bear Creek Mountain Resort did a great job. It's a great venue for a wedding and a perfect setting for wedding photography. And to Gwen and Dan, thanks for letting me be part of your day!

An engagement shoot on a rainy day in the Poconos
Tammy and Garry planned their wedding in a remarkably short time- as in six weeks! So we only had one window to shoot the engagement pictures. And like it's done all summer in the Poconos, it rained on our one day. None of us were deterred by the weather and we went ahead with the shoot at the Old Mill in Sciota, Pa. There are plenty of great places to photograph engagement sessions in the Pocono Mountains and the Old Mill is one of my faves!

We had a very small window when the rain let up enough to lose the umbrella and just shoot away. I always love doing engagement shoots at Old Mill and the natural setting made a great backdrop for Tammy and Garry.
If you have been following my blog, you know I'm just a little obsessed with macro photography like the shot of Tammy's Mini Cooper above. I also love doing creative pictures of engagement rings and wedding bands. Here is my take on an engagement shoot in the rain. I can't wait for their wedding next week at Pocono Manor- should be a great time!
