Eloping to the Pocono Mountains in the Winter!
With their second child on the way, Ellen and Brent decided to tie the knot. They new they wanted to elope with a few members of their family. After some online research they learned the Poconos are a hotspot for elopement weddings. They contacted Alisa Tongg, a local celebrant and they quickly hit it off with her. They chose to have her preform their ceremony at her quaint venue, The Living Wall at Promise Ridge.
Both Ellen and Brent wanted to have a snowy backdrop for their wedding. Thanks to a recent snowstorm, they got their wish. They also got fresh snow on their wedding day! It added to the natural beauty of Promise Ridge and made for a magical setting for their ceremony.
Here are a few of my favorite moments from their big day in the Poconos. Thanks to Alisa for hosting such an awesome wedding in such an awesome setting!

Winter wedding (minus the snow) @ Stroudsmoor Country Inn
Brianna and Zach hoped for a snowy backdrop for their wedding in late February. That's usually a given in the Poconos. Instead, they got 70 degrees and a vicious thunderstorm! We made the most of the stunningly warm weather and got fantastic photos at Stroudsmoor Country Inn!
They had their first look at Smile Spot #3 at Stroudsmoor Country Inn. It was a perfect setting although the wind was whipping. From there we headed to Lawnhaven for their ceremony. Within seconds of their guests filing into Lawnhaven after the ceremony, the sky opened up and chased us all inside. Check out my photos of Brianna and Zach making a run for it!
The night featured a great dinner and tons of dancing. DJ Rockin' Ron brought along plenty of props to add to the festivities. We have the photos of that as well!

High School Sweethearts marry 50 years later
Edward and Alice were high school sweethearts in the 1960's in Wayne county, Pennsylvania. After high school, Ed joined the Navy and they fell out of touch. Ed married and settled in the mid-west. Alice married and stayed close to home. Years later they bought lost their spouses. Barbara, Alice's sister mentioned to her that Ed had just moved back the area. They were reintroduced last October and the sparks flew once again!
After just two months, Ed popped the question and Alice said 'yes'. They decided to tie the knot in Alice's lifelong church, St. Mary's Church in Ledgedale. WNEP-TV heard about their story and jumped on it. They did a touching story about the wedding. See it here: http://bit.ly/2n7nF1U

Early Winter Wedding in the Poconos
Tanya and Johnny knew the Poconos is where they wanted to tie the knot. It's a perfect escape from New York City where they both live and work. Their ceremony was at Pocono Grace Church and from there we headed to Riverview Country Club.
As you amy know from reading my blog, I love working at Riverview! The venue is unique and the golf course holds many photo ops. I teamed up with Bryan from Icarus Image and together we covered every angle of their wedding and reception. Please scroll through our favorite pictures from Tanya and Johnny's big day. Perfect wedding in a quaint setting
If you've never been to The Settlers Inn, it's worth a drive to Hawley, Pennsylvania to see it. Set along the Lackawaxen River, the Inn serves amazing food and has great rooms for lodging. The bar is fantastic and the grounds and gardens are amazing. The Potting Shed is a cute gift shop in the back of the property. Built in the 1920's, the Inn is gorgeous inside and out!
Those are among the reasons Jamie and Eric chose The Settlers Inn for their wedding in mid-October. It's just a 45-minute drive from their home in Stroudsburg and it was a convenient meeting place for their friends and families. It was a perfect fall day for their outdoor ceremony. The river made a great backdrop for their vow exchange.
After the ceremony, guests were treated to drinks and hors d'oeuves on the patio. As dinner was served, the Dave Lantz Trio started playing their music set the mood for the rest of the night.
